Here's a sample of life flying in Oz..

Here's the gang, Christmas 2000. A week prior to xmas day prawns on the barby, cricket on the beach, champagne jacuzzi on the roof and surf the beer off later on....

Here's Dean - my first Instructor. Top bloke, kept me in check and was responsible for taking my flying skill to where it is today...

And here's Mike - an inspiration to all that meet him. Not only a talented and 'Old Timer' chopper pilot but a master of kickboxing, diplomacy, indomitable spirit and general good and cheerful attitude all the time (even when on first solo in Oscar I nearly crashed it into him!)

Here's Jan, sexpot wife to Mike and an equally inspiring partner in Beckers. Many ex-Beckerites will remember Jan - for her charm, understanding and ability to quaff champagne (only champagne mind!)

Munssy, a good friend whilst in Oz and the chap who made me understand dissymmetry of lift. As our Theory instructor, I also caught various objects whilst fishing with him (never a fish though!). Himself a talented pilot, Munssy also owned faster cars than me so I will always respect his ability to find these in Australia!

Bugsy (Hughes 269) - helped me through the basics of learning to fly. I passed my PPL(H) in this and racked up 55 hours before moving on to the Bell.

And here's Oscar, a Bell 47 and my personal favourite. She may be old, but as forgiving as a priest combined with the rotor inertia of a small tornado.

Speaking of which.... here's me back in my RAF days
